Z-Communications, Inc. Press Release - 1/26/2009

Z-Comm Introduces the CRO3567A-LF S-Band VCO

Z-Communications, Inc.CRO3567A-LF phase noiseSAN DIEGO, January 26, 2009: Z-Communications, Inc. announces a new RoHS compliant VCO (Voltage-Controlled Oscillator) model CRO3567A-LF in S-band. The CRO3567A-LF operates from 3565-3568 MHz with a tuning voltage range of 0.5-4.5 Vdc. This VCO features a typical phase noise of -112 dBc/Hz @ 10 kHz offset and a typical tuning sensitivity of 8 MHz/V.

The CRO3567A-LF is designed to deliver a typical output power of 3 dBm at 5 Vdc supply while drawing 17 mA (typical) over the temperature range of -40º to 85º C. This VCO features typical 2nd harmonic suppression of -40 dBc and comes in Z-Comm’s industry standard MINI-16-SM package measuring 0.5 in. x 0.5 in. x 0.22 in. It is available in tape and reel packaging for production requirements. The CRO3567A-LF is also ideal for automated surface mount assembly and reflow.

CRO3567A-LF is well suited for satellite communication applications that require superior 2nd harmonic suppression and ultra low phase noise performance. Additional specifications for this product can be found on-line at http://www.zcomm.com/webstore/ProductInfo.aspx?productid=CRO3567A-LF .

RF Cafe began life in 1996 as "RF Tools" in an AOL screen name web space totaling 2 MB. Its primary purpose was to provide me with ready access to commonly needed formulas and reference material while performing my work as an RF system and circuit design engineer. The Internet was still largely an unknown entity at the time and not much was available in the form of WYSIWYG ...
