Spectrum Control Receives $1.2 Million Order for
Microwave Integrated Assemblies

(NASDAQ: SPEC), a leading designer and manufacturer of custom electronic products and systems, announced today that its Microwave Business Segment has received a $1.2 million order for a microwave integrated assembly used in military tactical communication terminals. Product deliveries should start early in 2009, with additional orders and releases under the program expected periodically throughout the next three years. These complex assembly products will be manufactured at the Company's facility in Marlborough, Massachusetts, which was part of the Company's recent acquisition of SatCon Electronics, Inc.

Dick Southworth, Spectrum Control's President and Chief Executive Officer, commented, "This award affirms our customer's confidence in our most recent acquisition, as well as demonstrates our recognition in the marketplace for designing and manufacturing complex radio frequency and microwave products."
