RF Cafe began life in 1996 as "RF Tools" in an AOL screen name web space totaling 2 MB. Its primary purpose was to provide me with ready access to commonly needed formulas and reference material while performing my work as an RF system and circuit design engineer. The World Wide Web (Internet) was largely an unknown entity at the time and bandwidth was a scarce commodity. Dial-up modems blazed along at 14.4 kbps while typing up your telephone line, and a nice lady's voice announced "You've Got Mail" when a new message arrived...

Flagship Microwave Office Product Continues to Deliver Cutting Edge Technologies, Helping Customers Meet the Challenges of Next-Generation Wireless Designs

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — Dec. 19, 2007 —AWR®, the innovation leader in high-frequency electronic design automation (EDA), today announced that December 2007 marks its 10-year anniversary of providing customers with innovative technologies and outstanding customer service, enabling them to successfully deliver next-generation wireless designs in today's competitive market. AWR began servicing its first customer on December 10th, 1997 with one seat of software. Since then, the company's customer base has grown every year, resulting in over 20,000 active users in 2007.

The company attributes its consistent growth and the expansion of its customer base not only to its founding principles of openness and interoperability, but also to its commitment to innovate new technologies in order to help customers meet the growing challenges of increasingly complex microwave and RF design. Since 1997, the company has continually strengthened its flagship product, Microwave Office® design suite, with exciting new technologies targeted at increasing the productivity of its customers. In the past 12 months alone, AWR has introduced three groundbreaking new technologies, the ACE™, RFA™, and AXIEM™ solutions, which enable faster, more streamlined product development.

“It is extremely satisfying that throughout our 10 years of growth and innovation, we've seen our customer base go global and the use of our products expand substantially,” said Dane Collins, AWR CEO. “Personally, the most rewarding highlight of our journey over the past decade is the customer loyalty we've earned. That's really why we are celebrating this anniversary. We appreciate their confidence in our company and our software.”

Numerous customer success stories and testimonials detailing the success AWR software and customer service has enabled designers to achieve are available at www.appwave.com.
