GREENSBORO, N.C. – OCTOBER 4, 2005 – RF Micro Devices, Inc. (NASDAQ: RFMD), a leading provider of proprietary radio frequency integrated circuits (RFICs) for wireless communications applications, today announced it has extended its leadership in power amplifiers as the Company has commenced shipments of highly integrated transmit modules to multiple handset manufacturers. Transmit modules are comprised of RFMD’s industry-leading power amplifiers with integrated pHEMT switch technology.
