SAN DIEGO, July 18, 2008: Z-Communications, Inc. announces a new RoHS compliant VCO (Voltage-Controlled Oscillator) model CRO2148A-LF in S-band. The CRO2148A-LF operates at 2118-2179 MHz with a tuning voltage range of 1-4 Vdc. This VCO features a typical phase noise of -107 dBc/Hz @10KHz offset and a typical tuning sensitivity of 27 MHz/V.


The CRO2148A-LF is designed to deliver a typical output power of 0 dBm at 5V DC supply while drawing 20 mA (typical) over the temperature range of -40º to 85ºC. This VCO features excellent typical 2nd harmonic suppression of -20 dBc and comes in Z-Comm’s industry standard MINI package measuring 0.50 in. x 0.50 in. x 0.22 in. It is available in tape and reel packaging for production requirements. The CRO2148A-LF is also ideal for automated surface mount assembly and reflow.


CRO2148A-LF is well suited for Microwave Radios and Fixed Wireless applications that require ultra low phase noise performance. Additional specifications for this product can be found on-line at
