RF Cafe began life in 1996 as "RF Tools" in an AOL screen name web space totaling 2 MB. Its primary purpose was to provide me with ready access to commonly needed formulas and reference material while performing my work as an RF system and circuit design engineer. The Internet was still largely an unknown entity at the time and not much was available in the form of WYSIWYG ...

The good folks at Advanced Test Equipment Rentals have put together a pretty darn nice collection of How-To videos for some of the equipment that they make available. Examples are "How to Use Anritsu MT9083A Optical Time Domain Reflector (OTDR)," "How to Use a Kaelus iPA Passive Intermodulation (PIM) Tester," and "How to use Fluke 435 II Power Analyzer." Even if you don't plan to use the exact manufacturer and model, these videos are still useful for tips on how to set up similar instruments and carry out measurements. Operations manager Martin Jahn also has a short video where he explains the significance of having obtained an ISO certification, and Kevin Croppo explains the Benefits of Test Equipment Rental (see below). If there are any other videos you would like to see, contact ATER and place your request.
