RF Cafe University"Factoids," "Kirt's Cogitations," and "Tech Topics Smorgasbord" are all manifestations of my ranting on various subjects relevant (usually) to the overall RF Cafe theme. All may be accessed on these pages:

Wi-Fi in Your Cellphone (WiFiFone?)

Move over GPRS and 3G cell phones, Wi-Fi has arrived. In fact Wi-Fi is the fastest growing segment of wireless connectivity. Adding to the growing ubiquity of 802.11 access points throughout the world, Starbucks™ has already configured 1,200 of its popular retail Cafes with wireless Internet capability. They plan to have 2,000 by the end of this year. The August 2002 edition of "Microwaves & RF" magazine features a sort of modern Norman Rockwell rendition of what such an establishment is looking like (compliments of RFMD). It's truly an RF Cafe! Say, maybe this domain name will fetch big bucks some day when the economic downturn finally goes away!
