Who were the 100 highest paid high tech executives in 2001? Larry Ellison at Oracle tops the list at $706M - all of it in exercised stock options. His salary is $0. Michael Dell was #2 at $201M. Steve Jobs, of Apple, hit #12 with $84M. Steve Altman of Qualcomm came in at #30 made $26M. In the middle at #50 was Joseph Marengi at Dell with $14M. Richard Brown of EDS was the first to drop below the $10M point at #64. Poor 'ole Dennis Segers of Xilinx at #100 only made $5M. Dang, looks like I just missed the list again :-)
