Pi Poetry

The next time you are at a social gathering and find yourself challenged to recite the value of π (pi) to the 14th decimal place, try this common mnemonic, "How I want a drink, alcoholic of course, after the heavy lectures involving quantum mechanics!" No doubt that sentence was created by a college student, but it gets the job done. Simply use the number of characters in each word, thus π = 3.14159265358979. Entire poems have been written to aid in recalling π to 100 decimal places and beyond. Make up your own, lengthier mnemonics, and be the hit of the party!
