thought or  Just an Old жена's Tale Well, another myth has been debunked. Back during the Cold War, Russian cosmonauts were ridiculed for having to use pencils for writing in space because special pressurized pens were needed to function in weightlessness. Even Pedro Duque, a modern European Space Agency astronaut, admitted he too believed it - until he ran an experiment himself during a visit to the International Space Station. Said Pedro about his ordinary ballpoint pen, "It doesn't stop working, and it doesn't spit, or anything." The next thing you know, I'll be told that toilets don't really flush in the opposite direction in the southern hemisphere! | ||||||
