Notice to IEEE Insurance Customers

IEEE members who have term life insurance through the IEEE Advantage Program need to check to be sure they are listed as non-smokers, if that is the case. According to an article in the latest "EE Times," the underwriter was changed in 1998, and they never notified existing members about the rate reduction for being a non-smoker. The premium discount is 20%, which is pretty significant. Oh, and don't expect a refund for any of the years you overpaid.
