COMET Technologies USA, Inc. has an immediate opening in our Plasma Control Technologies (PCT) group for a qualified RF Engineering Manager to work in our San Jose, CA office. We are seeking a team player who will bring their extensive RF product development knowledge and experience to our product development team. This is an outstanding opportunity to learn from and work with experts in high power RF products in the semiconductor industry. Our San Jose PCT engineering team works in a technical, entrepreneurial, and fast paced environment.
Manage a team of engineers and technicians to develop custom RF matching network products for plasma process tools
Develop a product portfolio and technical solutions for a specific market segment
Interface with customers to get engineering requirements and build relationships
Assist in the creation of product technical strategies and technology roadmaps
Help develop RF and electrical design standards for COMET auto-match products
Identify and allocate resources to staff projects for internal and external customers
Develop and mentor direct reports to promote individual professional growth
Participate in the factory release of products developed by your team
Participate in the technical direction of matching network products worldwide
Help develop product test and reliability standards for COMET products
Perform annual and periodic performance evaluations as well as regular one-on-one meetings with each member of your team
Skills and Experience
Degree in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis on RF or equivalent combination of degree and experience
Experience designing auto-matching networks for semiconductor equipment strongly preferred
Experience in semiconductor RF systems strongly preferred
Must have working knowledge of related lab equipment, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.
Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently
Minimum 5+ years in product development of high power RF or related RF / Microwave devices
Minimum 3+ years managing technical teams
Proven ability to solve complex math and systems problems
Experience writing product specifications desired
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required
Experience using ANSYS HFSS or equivalent FEA tool desired
Must have experience leading and managing others
Must be able to manage development programs
Must be able to manage technical teams
Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Must be able to thrive in a team environment
Must be able to function in a dynamic environment where priorities change often
Must be able to accept delegated authority
Must be able to delegate authority appropriately
