Visual Confirmation for Registration - RF Cafe Forums

The original RF Cafe Forums were shut down in late 2012 due to maintenance issues. Please visit the new and improved RF Cafe Forums that were created in September of 2015. Unlike with the old forums where users registered individually, the new forums use a common User Name and Password so anyone can post without needing to create an account. Please find the current User Name and Password on the RF Cafe homepage. Thanks for your participation.

Below are all of the old forum threads, including all the responses to the original posts.

-- Anecdotes, Gripes & Humor

Greetings:

Registration for the RF Cafe forums is encouraged, but not required. If you had difficulty with registration, it might have been due to not entering the visual confirmation code properly. It is case-sensitive, so please observe upper and lower case characters per the displayed code.

I had to implement the visual confirmation just last week because malicious software robots crawl the Web looking for forums to join to stage attacks at a later time. I found three that had "joined" and deleted them, then implemented the visual confirmation. It is an unfortunate reality of online existence. Like I mentioned in my post, I wouldn't shed a tear over more of the :smt013 spammers getting knocked off like that one in Russia.
