Because of the high maintenance needed to monitor and filter spammers from the RF Cafe Forums, I decided that it would
be best to just archive the pages to make all the good information posted in the past available for review. It is unfortunate
that the scumbags of the world ruin an otherwise useful venue for people wanting to exchanged useful ideas and views.
It seems that the more formal social media like Facebook pretty much dominate this kind of venue anymore anyway, so if
you would like to post something on RF Cafe's
Facebook page, please do.
Very impressive cogitation. Have you ever submitted your writings to a N.C. newspaper?
By the way, I am being serious, not sarcastic.

Greetings yendori:
Thanks for the compliment. I have had a couple dozen letters to the editor published over the years in the various towns in which we have lived, but nothing like a feature article. I also managed to get a couple articles published in the electronics magazines (RF Design, MPD).
Sometime in the next couple months, I plan to do a Kirt's Cogitation on the renovation to our current house in Erie, PA, that details some of the measures taken to gain good energy efficiency - including a state-of-the-art AirKrete insulation in the walls. Once the article is complete, I plan to contact the local newspaper to see if they would be interested in doing a story to motivate others in the area to take similar measures toward bringing older homes up to modern standards.
