Passive Intermodulation (PIM) Testing Services - RF Cafe Forums
Because of the high maintenance needed to monitor and filter spammers from the RF Cafe Forums, I decided that it would be best to just archive the pages to make all the good information posted in the past available for review. It is unfortunate that the scumbags of the world ruin an otherwise useful venue for people wanting to exchanged useful ideas and views. It seems that the more formal social media like Facebook pretty much dominate this kind of venue anymore anyway, so if you would like to post something on RF Cafe's Facebook page, please do.

Below are all of the forum threads, including all the responses to the original posts.

Does anyone know of a company that will measure passive intermodulation on filters for a fee? The test equipment is expensive and we only have a few filters to quality.

Thanks.

Greetings esoares:

I know from personal experience that, at least a few years ago, both Agilent in Loveland, CO, and Narda in Happauge, NY, had equipment to make PIM measurements.

Agilent used equipment designed and manufactured by Summitek in Colorado (http://www.summitekinstruments.com/).

Narda (http://www.nardamicrowave.com/east/) had a custom in-house setup.

I do not have names for contacting either company, but you could just try calling the main phone numbers and ask. You might also try contacting Summitek to see if they can either do the testing or recommend a test facility.
