New Orleans Looting - RF Cafe Forums

RF Cafe Forums closed its virtual doors in late 2012 mainly due to other social media platforms dominating public commenting venues. RF Cafe Forums began sometime around August of 2003 and was quite well-attended for many years. By 2012, Facebook and Twitter were overwhelmingly dominating online personal interaction, and RF Cafe Forums activity dropped off precipitously. Regardless, there are still lots of great posts in the archive that ware worth looking at. Below are the old forum threads, including responses to the original posts. Greetings:

I have to say of the poor souls stuck in the flooded areas of New Orleans: Let them have the food and basic items of subsistence left in the stores. Relief is not available to everyone, and those aforementioned items are lost anyway. Shoot those hauling away TVs and DVDs, but let the rest survive.

Amen, brother. Let Americans do for themselves what they do for the rest of the world.

Can you believe that there are scumbags robbing victims and shooting at rescue helicopters? Welcome to modern America!

What a pity! If such a thing had happened in some 'oily' countries, US would have jumped up at the opportunity of providing aid - poor 3rd world, can even handle a crisis - and how Americans would have gone on philosophy and patting themsleves on the back saying how civisiled they are etc. There was a guy who went to China just to smell!!

And now, these things unfortunately happen at the CIVILISED AMERICAAAA!

Moral of the story - all humans are same (of course I am not counting the suicide bombers as humans)

Kind of reminds one of a U.K. soccer match aftermath...

I know the news can be ugly, and you fellas already said most of what needs to be said. Can I say that I am also aware of some guys who gave what they could and then pushed themselves to exhaustion helping folk they didn't know and might never see again.

We are talking about an area the size of the UK. There must be some in there who haven't had their "fix" for days, and are starting to get a mite unreasonable! I just do not believe that more than an small minority of Americans are really like that.
