I have used the CARFAX reports
when buying used vehicles for many years, as
have many people I know. Here is a response from
the company that might interest you regarding
their concern for completeness.
My letter to them:
I ran a CARFAX report on my 1995 Tracer,
which I purchased in Colorado Springs, CO, in
2000, and my purchase never shows up. The
06/01/2000 entry in your report represents our
purchase. We have since moved to NC, where the
other inspections are listed. The VIN is
3MASM15J9SR623740. Please ammend your records
We just used CARFAX to
qualify a 1997 Saturn for purchase for our
daughter, and a year ago for our 1998 Ford
Explorer. What guarantee do we have that the
CARFAX reports are accurate for those two

on the CARFAX report. At this time we do not
offer any additional research.
