Because of the high maintenance needed to monitor and filter spammers from the RF Cafe Forums, I decided that it would
be best to just archive the pages to make all the good information posted in the past available for review. It is unfortunate
that the scumbags of the world ruin an otherwise useful venue for people wanting to exchanged useful ideas and views.
It seems that the more formal social media like Facebook pretty much dominate this kind of venue anymore anyway, so if

My area of interest is analog mixed-signal circuit / RFIC design. All I have is a 4.00 GPA and an internship experience in a small company. Very recently, I got a call for a contract position with a very reputed company in US. First a telephonic interview took place followed by an on-site interview. I did pretty well in the on-site interview and was given a hint that I might be offered a position. My task will be to design and test car radio systems. The following questions are coming to my mind. I need your advice. 1) Is it worth pursuing a system design career in RF? I am going to work with the same components (VCO, filters, amplifiers, etc.) but at a system level and not chip level. How difficult will be the transition if I decide later to switch from system level to circuit level? 2) The pay will be around 50k-55k. Is it worth it? A couple of my colleagues got jobs in reputed companies like Intel, Altera, etc. and their pay is about 70K. 3) The company is saying that it will make a permanent position for me after 6 months - 1 year.
