Sr. Antenna Systems Engineer - RF Cafe Forums

Because of the high maintenance needed to monitor and filter spammers from the RF Cafe Forums, I decided that it would be best to just archive the pages to make all the good information posted in the past available for review. It is unfortunate that the scumbags of the world ruin an otherwise useful venue for people wanting to exchanged useful ideas and views. It seems that the more formal social media like Facebook pretty much dominate this kind of venue anymore anyway, so if you would like to post something on RF Cafe's Facebook page, please do.

Senior level Systems Engineering position for antenna/radome engineer for antenna modeling/requirements/design for aircraft and ground antenna system installations that support aircraft communications and ISR systems covering HF through millimeter wave frequencies. Required technical skills: 1. Shall have a thorough knowledge and understanding of antennas, radomes and propagation models in the frequency range HF through Ka band. 2. Shall have a detailed understanding of antenna/radome characteristics/parameters, design tradeoffs, and physical practicalities/limitations. 3. Shall have experience with computer electromagnetic models such as NEC and BSC. Shall be capable of building and verifying antenna models in CEM analysis to predict performance when installed on aircraft and in ground systems. 4. Shall be familiar with antenna range (free space outdoor and anechoic chamber) test setups for accurate measurement of antenna parameters. 5. Shall have the ability to perform RF link and budget analysis to optimize system design for sensitivity, atmospheric noise levels and dynamic range. Shall be able to derive functional requirements for components of systems to achieve specified performance. 6. Shall have effective oral and written communication skills and be able to prepare/present reports to internal and external customers.
