DUTIES:

Installs/maintains a wide range of radio equipment and system components, including VHF repeaters (conventional and trunked), combiners, duplexers, filters, power amplifiers, UPS, and antennas. Sets up and installs ad hoc radio networks (repeaters, receivers, duplexers, base stations, and connectivity) at off site locations in support of USCP travel missions.
Performs programming tuning and alignment procedures to ensure mobile, portable and fixed radio equipment is performing within radio specifications. Indentifies faulty or degraded components,repair or replace.
Performs test with technical diagnostic equipment such as wave form scopes, spectrum analyzers, sweep generators, communication test sets and transmission impairment measuring sets.
Works independently on routine and repetitive work assignments.
Frequently lifts and carries items unassisted weighing up to 40lbs. Sometimes required to lift items weighing more than 40lbs with help of weight handling equipment or assistance from other workers. Work requires frequent standing walking, bending, crouching reaching and stooping. Climbing and working in high places may be required.

The Division is responsible for installation, repair and maintenance of all USCP voice and data communications system(s).
