QA ManagerTRM Microwave is looking for a Quality Assurance Manager to ensure that the product or service we provide is fit for its purpose and meets customer expectations. The QA manager coordinates the activities and develops procedures and processes required to meet this aim.
Job Description:The QA Manager monitors and advises on how the quality management system is performing and publishes data and reports regarding company performance against set indicators. The Quality Assurance Manager works with managers and staff to ensure that the QA system is functioning properly. Where appropriate, the QA manager advises on changes and their implementation and provides training, tools and techniques to enable others to achieve quality.
Responsibilities:- Championing quality achievement and performance improvement
- Setting QA compliance objectives and ensuring that targets are achieved
- Working with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers
- Ensuring compliance with national and international standards and legislation
- Considering the application of environmental and health/safety standards
- Establishing clearly defined quality methods and training quality-related training needs
- Setting up and maintaining controls and documentation
- Ensuring tests and procedures are properly understood, carried out and evaluated
- Supervising technical staff in carrying out tests and checks
- Bringing together a cross-functional team to drive the group to plan, formulate and agree to comprehensive quality procedures
- Persuading reluctant staff to change their way of working to incorporate quality methods
- Liaising with customers' auditors and ensuring the execution of corrective action and compliance with customers' specifications
Qualifications:- Five years of progressively responsible experience in quality assurance, including providing leadership to a team
- Bachelor of Arts degree in Business or Engineering or related field
- Leadership skills: ability to deliver reliable, unique and leading edge solutions that exceed expectations
- Technical skills: solid understanding of ISO 9001, AS9100 and MIL-PRF-38534 requirements and audits
- Communication skills: ability to write routine reports and correspondence; speak effectively before customers or employees; communicate with quality, integrity and respect in a way that inspires others and encourages innovation and possibilities
- Computer skills: working knowledge of Windows networked environment using Microsoft Office Suite
