What is your opinion of Sprint-Nextel? - RF Cafe Forums

Because of the high maintenance needed to monitor and filter spammers from the RF Cafe Forums, I decided that it would be best to just archive the pages to make all the good information posted in the past available for review. It is unfortunate that the scumbags of the world ruin an otherwise useful venue for people wanting to exchanged useful ideas and views. It seems that the more formal social media like Facebook pretty much dominate this kind of venue anymore anyway, so if you would like to post something on RF Cafe's Facebook page, please do.

Below are all of the forum threads, including all the responses to the original posts.

I wonder if anyone has the same feeling I do; I am 50 yrs old and have been through many platforms of RF - ranging from 2-Way FM, trunking, amateur experimentation, and RADIO technology in general. I am now seeing that most new technology is IP based with advanced modulations like QAM .......I am feeling like I cant keep up with the new technologies and see myself as a "has-been" It seems that RF is becomming "plug and play" - is our RF knowledge valuable anymore? .......comments....?

Mark

BTW - We had a sad loss here in the Mpls area.....

N0HSR, Dean Spratt passed away on Saturday....he was very active in radio and electronics.
He did traffic reports on WCCO radio for years......he was very well known and liked.
