Help me choose the offer - RF Cafe Forums
Because of the high maintenance needed to monitor and filter spammers from the RF Cafe Forums, I decided that it would be best to just archive the pages to make all the good information posted in the past available for review. It is unfortunate that the scumbags of the world ruin an otherwise useful venue for people wanting to exchanged useful ideas and views. It seems that the more formal social media like Facebook pretty much dominate this kind of venue anymore anyway, so if you would like to post something on RF Cafe's Facebook page, please do.

Hi , I recently got two fellowship from two universities:

1. Ohio State University, ECE, PhD, focus on integrated optics, advisor is an asssistant professor


2. University of illinois at chicago, ECE, PhD, focus on RF passives and RFIC, advisor is a professor and also a IEEE Fellow


I plan to go to the industry after graduation, and here sincerely ask for you guys advice on my choice. Thanks!

Bayern, wenn es Dir um das Ansehen der Universitäten geht (was in den USA wohl nicht ganz unwichtig ist), so müßte es Rankinglisten im Netz geben.
Die beiden zur Auswahl stehenden Themen sind doch recht unterschiedlich, optische Komponenten vs. Bauelemente der HF-Technik, da würde ich nach Interesse und existierenden Vorkenntnissen entscheiden.
Hast Du an Deiner bisherigen Uni irgendeinen Prof oder Assistent, die Du um Rat bitten kannst ?

P.S.: 1986 und schon am Promovieren ?
