Does anyone know what working for inCode Wireless is like??? - RF Cafe Forums
Because of the high maintenance needed to monitor and filter spammers from the RF Cafe Forums, I decided that it would
be best to just archive the pages to make all the good information posted in the past available for review. It is unfortunate
that the scumbags of the world ruin an otherwise useful venue for people wanting to exchanged useful ideas and views.
It seems that the more formal social media like Facebook pretty much dominate this kind of venue anymore anyway, so if
you would like to post something on RF Cafe's
page, please do.

have a good friend who worked for them for a year. He said that they sucked, big time.
Stick you on long
assignments. Treat you like crap. Don't give you the tools to do your job.
Typical RF sweat shop (see WFI).
If you are a 3rd party RF recruiter and are easily offended, then stop reading this posting... Go look at some
resumes or something.
RF Engineers get used like prostitutes. I mean, who really gives a damn about us? You
have these 3rd party recruiting companies who send you off to a project for however long... They could care less
about your health, family, or general well-being. They do nothing more than pimp you out and make 25% + doing
Let me guess... It's justified, because they go out and find the business.... blah, blah, blah.
Most of these recruiters have no idea what in the hell you really do.
I saw an article in RCR about
some bum who is an RF Engineering "recruiter" and how it has been such a great opportunity for him. What a bunch
of crap. Makes me sick.
All of those recruiters are scumbags. Period. Their profession is equal to if not
lower than, a telemarketer.
By the way... If anyone reading this is a recruiter and you are offended, then
do us all a favor and submit your resignation immediately. Go find a job selling used cars or something....

Most of the recruiters don't understand what kind of people they recruit because they aren't familiar
with the industry. An average recruiter has the function of "find" in WORD software, meaning to find and compare
the relevant word (skill) in the job description versus this word in the applicant's resume. They do so and feel
themselves pretty much in the business, yet behind it there is of course one big ignorance.
From my long
experience with job hunting abroad, recruiters are really scumbags. They treat the applicant like crap: Many times
don't bother to get back to him/her, take themseleves even the right to disqualify a candidate for technicalities
and don't give this right to their client - the recruiting company.

Thor, care to elaborate on your remarks?
It's been my expereince that you have 2 choices - contracting on your own, taking all the $ but not having
benefits, or going with an incode, or wfi, and trading some $ for insurance, etc.
If I don't want to
hustle my own contracts or work through an agency w/no benefits then what about incode is any different than other

I have hired good
folks who were prior employees from LCC and WFI and all had good things to say about those 2 companies. I have
heard similar things about incode

Gotta admit that's a pretty good line!!!
However, I think we're being a little hard on the entire recruiting industry. As with the prostitution racket
used as a metaphor here, the pimps wouldn't have a sustained job if it weren't for the prostitutes that keep
prostituting. Now in your metaphor, we engineers are the willing prostitutes, so where does that leave us in the
arguement? Personally, I wouldn't use that analogy.
I submit that as there are scumbag recruiters, there
are scumbag HR departments and there are scumbag engineers. Smart engineers get burnt maybe once and then know
better. If a burning occurs, then the company involved deserves to get punished through a bad public reputation,
and so does the recruiter. The law protects against a company going out and bad-mouthing a current or former
employee, so they're kind of at a disadvantage. The best approach is for all parties to check the backgrounds of
all others involved. The Web is a very good place to do research on people. It's hard to remain totally anonymous
BTW, I'm no rectruiter (check my posts in other areas), but I think the flaming is a bit overdone
and felt compelled to respond.
