Because of the high maintenance needed to monitor and filter spammers from the RF Cafe Forums, I decided that it would
be best to just archive the pages to make all the good information posted in the past available for review. It is unfortunate
that the scumbags of the world ruin an otherwise useful venue for people wanting to exchanged useful ideas and views.
It seems that the more formal social media like Facebook pretty much dominate this kind of venue anymore anyway, so if
you would like to post something on RF Cafe's
Facebook page, please do.
Below are all of the forum threads, including all
the responses to the original posts.
Guest Post subject: y-parameters FET Model Posted: Sun Jul 31, 2005 7:37 pm I'm working on a FET model with three external nodes as opposed to two nodes. So, there are three ports. I'm using matrix reduction technique to get the 3-port y-param, meaning I label all the nodes in the model circuit and write down their respective y-params, then doing matrix reduction to get a 3x3 matrix from an 8x8 matrix because the model has 8 nodes. Anyway, I can't seem to recall what y-param is for a current source. I'm not a professional working in an industry so I'm not exactly sure where to look for a reference. I've tried several books and google but haven't been successful. Anyone has an idea about my problem. Namely, let's say from node 1 there is a current source and an inductor connecting to node 2, like this: NODE1---CURRENT_SOURCE---INDUCTOR---NODE2 What would be the 2x2 y-param for this?
Thanks
