subject: healthy - RF Cafe Forums
Because of the high maintenance needed to monitor and filter spammers from the RF Cafe Forums, I decided that it would be best to just archive the pages to make all the good information posted in the past available for review. It is unfortunate that the scumbags of the world ruin an otherwise useful venue for people wanting to exchanged useful ideas and views. It seems that the more formal social media like Facebook pretty much dominate this kind of venue anymore anyway, so if you would like to post something on RF Cafe's Facebook page, please do.

Below are all of the forum threads, including all the responses to the original posts.

Hello ngks,

It all depends on the power level that you are transmitting. If you transmit power level higher than 1W (+30dBm), then you should take care for protection. You should put your circuit/module in a metal enclosure that will prevent RF radiation. The RF input/output to your system, should be wall-mount RF connectors and for the supply you should use Feed-Through filters.

Assure that the cables are 50-ohm high-quality cables, and that they are short as possible. Fasten the connectors to the walls of the enclosure and fasten the cables to the connectors.

You can ask from a safety specialist to measure the radiation levels near the enclosure and see if these meet the required safety standard.

Hope this helps,

- IR
