asymmetric filters - RF Cafe Forums

Because of the high maintenance needed to monitor and filter spammers from the RF Cafe Forums, I decided that it would be best to just archive the pages to make all the good information posted in the past available for review. It is unfortunate that the scumbags of the world ruin an otherwise useful venue for people wanting to exchanged useful ideas and views. It seems that the more formal social media like Facebook pretty much dominate this kind of venue anymore anyway, so if you would like to post something on RF Cafe's Facebook page, please do.

Below are all of the forum threads, including all the responses to the original posts.

Hi ofourquin
In what sense are they to be asymmetrical?
Impedance unequal at input and output?
Or unequal roll-off slope LF side vs HF side?
Bandpass, low-pass, or high-pass, or any?
There are some good websites that include java script routines for interactive filter designs.

hi

I would like to do a band pass filter

It is the structure of the filter which is not symetrical. It is also call coupled filter in “Handbook of Filter Synthesis” books from Zverev.

The impedance is set to 50 Ohm in input and output for UWB applications [3.1 ; 10.6] GHz.

Just a precision

it is not bandpass filter based on the LP filter theory where where we find capacitor with a inductance in series

ps sorry for my bad english
