Because of the high maintenance needed to monitor and filter spammers from the RF Cafe Forums, I decided that it would
be best to just archive the pages to make all the good information posted in the past available for review. It is unfortunate
that the scumbags of the world ruin an otherwise useful venue for people wanting to exchanged useful ideas and views.
It seems that the more formal social media like Facebook pretty much dominate this kind of venue anymore anyway, so if
you would like to post something on RF Cafe's
Facebook page, please do.
Below are all of the forum threads, including all
the responses to the original posts.

I'm looking for ways to re-size a microwave oven (similar to a commercial domestic MW oven) for some food processing applications.
Assume: rectangular waveguide (a=9.5 cm, b= 5.5 cm); incident frequency: 2.45 GHz.
Suppose we fix two dimensions of the cavity and modify the length. The objective is to have minimum power reflection though the port (S11) so that maximum energy efficiency can be obtained. If we use RF calculator, we can have various cut-off frequencies depending on the modes. What should be the guidelines (cut-off frequency, modes etc) so that we can achieve the design objectives?
Thanks and regards, FoodRF |
