Because of the high maintenance needed to monitor and filter spammers from the RF Cafe Forums, I decided that it would
be best to just archive the pages to make all the good information posted in the past available for review. It is unfortunate
that the scumbags of the world ruin an otherwise useful venue for people wanting to exchanged useful ideas and views.

Joined: Mon Jun 27, 2005 2:02 pm Posts: 373 Location: Germany Solder mask over a transmission line will increase the insertion loss. At 2.4GHz the degradation would be still small. As higher the frequency is as worse the impact of the solder mask will be.
At 2.4GHz no need to worry too much!!

Joined: Mon Jun 27, 2005 2:02 pm Posts: 373 Location: Germany I don't expect that you will have any problem. In general, solder mask effects are due on the frequency of the signal and not due to the power level. If your circuit would work in 5GHz then you would definitely have problems.
