APC-7 connector - RF Cafe Forums

Because of the high maintenance needed to monitor and filter spammers from the RF Cafe Forums, I decided that it would be best to just archive the pages to make all the good information posted in the past available for review. It is unfortunate that the scumbags of the world ruin an otherwise useful venue for people wanting to exchanged useful ideas and views. It seems that the more formal social media like Facebook pretty much dominate this kind of venue anymore anyway, so if you would like to post something on RF Cafe's Facebook page, please do.

Below are all of the forum threads, including all the responses to the original posts.

I purchased some APC-7 to N type adapters from a US supplier about 3 months ago. I will look up the email and get back to you with url data.
They advertize on eBay, so a search for APC-7 might turn them up.

Check this source out.
I have purchased APC-7 to N transitions from them.
Delivery was quick and prices not too salty.

many people make apc7 adapters; for one, see sm electronics

apc7 to pcb is harder to find; maybe amphenol?

i'm curious, i've never seen a 7mm soldered to a pcb; why?

I guess because the purists who came up with the design for this high-precision coax connector would curl their toes at the idea of using them for anything worse than a -20dB reflection loss application like a transit to microstrip.
That suddenly makes me wonder: what is the best S11 that I might achieve for a coax to microstrip transition? Anyone?

At bottom, life is all about
Sucking in and blowing out.
