4-way Wilkinson power splitter - RF Cafe Forums
Because of the high maintenance needed to monitor and filter spammers from the RF Cafe Forums, I decided that it would be best to just archive the pages to make all the good information posted in the past available for review. It is unfortunate that the scumbags of the world ruin an otherwise useful venue for people wanting to exchanged useful ideas and views. I would like to design a four-way Wilkinson power splitter at 100 MHz. I would like to split the 1 W power in to two Wilkinson splitters, starting the design on microstrip. The four, quarter wavelength would be realised using 75-Ohm coaxial cable, and each cable would terminate in to 50 Ohm. My question is could I place the two 100-Ohm resistors at the start off each separate pair of ¼ wavelength coaxial splits on the circuit board?

Can I have more info to help you. Are you saying to start with a characteristic impedance of 75 ohms and end it with 50 ohms?

I'm sure the Zo = 50ohms. For a Wilkinson Splitter the quarte wave lines = Z = 50 * (SQRT)2.
Which is 70.7 ohms, 75 coax is usually close enough.
The 4 100ohm resistor need to be between the outputs of the spitters
to acheive good isolation.

Sorry guys, you're on the wrong track here - at 100Mhz use lumped elements , unless you like wasting money on coax cable.
I have sucessfully used lumped element wilkos at 500 MHz.
