Because of the high maintenance needed to monitor and filter spammers from the RF Cafe Forums, I decided that it would be best to just archive the pages to make all the good information posted in the past available for review. It is unfortunate that the scumbags of the world ruin an otherwise useful venue for people wanting to exchanged useful ideas and views. I've seen posts on this forum that looked very professional so I thought I'd ask the following question.
Is it possible to build an array of 18" satellite antennas (Dish Network/DirecTV) for DVB satellite reception?

Hi,

yes you can - but it will be very very hard to combine the different antennas. This depend very much on the used frequency, higher frequency smaller physical size. I would suggest to buy a larger antenna or having several LNBs and try to do the combiner on L-band instead.
The dish size is the best and cheapest solution. If you know what satellite you'll interested to receive it's easy to calculate the dishsize needed.
