Because of the high maintenance needed to monitor and filter spammers from the RF Cafe Forums, I decided that it would
be best to just archive the pages to make all the good information posted in the past available for review. It is unfortunate
that the scumbags of the world ruin an otherwise useful venue for people wanting to exchanged useful ideas and views.
It seems that the more formal social media like Facebook pretty much dominate this kind of venue anymore anyway, so if
you would like to post something on RF Cafe's
Facebook page, please do.
Below are all of the forum threads, including all
the responses to the original posts.
| eee | Post subject: need help!! Effects of changing dimentions in patch antenna Posted: Sun May 08, 2005 9:22 pm |
| | hiya, i'm a 2nd yr Beng student currently studying patch antennas. i really want to know the effects of changing ground plane size, director size and height, feed line width and patch diameter, etc in dual stub circular patch antennas, similar to those in some 3G base station antennas.
i already know changing of feed line width and ground plate can alter the bandwith, but why?and i can hardly find some explanation of how director works, and why it helps to increase the operation bandwidth.
it seens every diameter being changed is related to bandwidth, why?
( i really want to know the effects of changing ground plane size, director size and height, feed line width and patch diameter, etc )
thanks a lot for helping me!!!!
