microstrip gap in ADS - RF Cafe Forums
Because of the high maintenance needed to monitor and filter spammers from the RF Cafe Forums, I decided that it would be best to just archive the pages to make all the good information posted in the past available for review. It is unfortunate that the scumbags of the world ruin an otherwise useful venue for people wanting to exchanged useful ideas and views. I don´t now how to get the value of the microstrip gap, as I simulate wit ADS. I mean , i put the value of the gap-width, the substrate, the microstrip width, but i want to know wich is the equivalent capacitance of this gap.

Hello Diana.

Yuneed to simulate a series capacitor and simulate it anf the microstrip gap on the smith chart and tune the capatior with the ADS until you see that the 2 simulation is fit together (overlapping) the capacitance that you will receive is the capacitance of the microstrip gap.
