antenna project -- needs an urgent help! - RF Cafe Forums

RF Cafe Forums closed its virtual doors in late 2012 mainly due to other social media platforms dominating public commenting venues. RF Cafe Forums began sometime around August of 2003 and was quite well-attended for many years. By 2012, Facebook and Twitter were overwhelmingly dominating online personal interaction, and RF Cafe Forums activity dropped off precipitously. Regardless, there are still lots of great posts in the archive that ware worth looking at. Below are the old forum threads, including responses to the original posts. Help yourself to a huge free knowledge base from the radio hams at https://www.arrl.org

Most YAGI recipes have been refined for years, with extensive use of computers to search out the best gain and front-toback ratios. If you want to build one, there is LOTs of info.

I know this may just be a cultural thing for me, but I am ignorant about the term "uda" . Does this mean I have maybe completely missed the point?

Hi Graham, the proper name for a Yagi antenna is a Yagi-Uda antenna - it was developed as a collaboration between Hidetsugu Yagi and Shintaro Uda.
