Looking for help with HFSS9 - RF Cafe Forums

RF Cafe Forums closed its virtual doors in late 2012 mainly due to other social media platforms dominating public commenting venues. RF Cafe Forums began sometime around August of 2003 and was quite well-attended for many years. By 2012, Facebook and Twitter were overwhelmingly dominating online personal interaction, and RF Cafe Forums activity dropped off precipitously. Regardless, there are still lots of great posts in the archive that ware worth looking at. Below are the old forum threads, including responses to the original posts. I am using HFSS to design a microstrip antenna. I have not too much experience with simulation program and I have problems with the definition of the ports. I am not sure which kind of ports are more suitable for my design because I need to look for at least 5 of the propagation modes and for example with a "lumped port" I can look only at one of them. :(

Have somebody of you experience in the definition of ports in microstrip structures and can give me a piece of advice to undestand how they work with HFSS?

Thank you very much :)
