Because of the high maintenance needed to monitor and filter spammers from the RF Cafe Forums, I decided that it would
be best to just archive the pages to make all the good information posted in the past available for review. It is unfortunate
that the scumbags of the world ruin an otherwise useful venue for people wanting to exchanged useful ideas and views.
It seems that the more formal social media like Facebook pretty much dominate this kind of venue anymore anyway, so if
you would like to post something on RF Cafe's
Facebook page, please do.
Below are all of the forum threads, including all
the responses to the original posts.

I know obtainig a reasonable efficieny in a small form factor at 88-108 MHz is tough (or impossible). Any thoughts? _________________ Thanks, Jess

I will examine the case to see if there is a clue to the manufacturer. I bought 4 at the time, and I'm still using them as indoor antennas because my apartment has no means of installing an outdoor antenna for FM. The size is about the same as a pack of 20 ciggies (am I allowed to be non-PC here?) or a lady's powder compact (ditto). It is certainly effective, but to examine it by reverse engineering, I would have to destroy it using a hacksaw. I think it must use some kind of VHF/UHF ferrite, with a coil would over it of a few turns. _________________ At bottom, life is all about Sucking in and blowing out.
