EMC and TEM Cell - RF Cafe Forums
Because of the high maintenance needed to monitor and filter spammers from the RF Cafe Forums, I decided that it would be best to just archive the pages to make all the good information posted in the past available for review. It is unfortunate that the scumbags of the world ruin an otherwise useful venue for people wanting to exchanged useful ideas and views. Hallo,

I am using a TEM Cell to measure the Radiated Emissions for a microcontroller Core..

Strange but when i connected a empty TEM cell to Spectrum anaylser there are some radiations seen in low frequency and mobile range(This is understandable) , Can anyone tell me why is this, what could be done to improve or rather eliminate it..Are these disturbances already considered in IEC specifications or TEM cell has improper calibrations..

Hi,

have you checked your cables? If you are using cables with bad shielding you might have signals entering this way. Try also to put a 50ohm load in the other end of the TEM. Last - it could be stong signals entering your analyzer and you then need a shielded room for your measurements.
