Antenna software - RF Cafe Forums

Because of the high maintenance needed to monitor and filter spammers from the RF Cafe Forums, I decided that it would be best to just archive the pages to make all the good information posted in the past available for review. It is unfortunate that the scumbags of the world ruin an otherwise useful venue for people wanting to exchanged useful ideas and views. It seems that the more formal social media like Facebook pretty much dominate this kind of venue anymore anyway, so if you would like to post something on RF Cafe's Facebook page, please do.

Below are all of the forum threads, including all the responses to the original posts.

I am also very interested in purchasing a software (depending on quality of product and price) but I will need to obtain softcopy of the typographical maps for Fiji loaded into the database.

Alternatively, I need access to the services that can carry out the coverage plots of locations of our Ground Station UHF Receivers within the Fiji Islands. If anyone can provide these services then please advise me on peterod@afl.com.fj.

Thanks.

Hi,

personnaly, I have received an eval of MICROSTRIPES.
after a quick simulation, that's pretty fast and I am very satisfied with results.

I guess their TLM approach is relatively similar, but the software is more stable (does not share FDTD's dispersion error issue) and cell meshing/lumping can be more brutal without causing errors .

hope this helps
