2.4GHz - RF Cafe Forums

RF Cafe Forums closed its virtual doors in late 2012 mainly due to other social media platforms dominating public commenting venues. RF Cafe Forums began sometime around August of 2003 and was quite well-attended for many years. By 2012, Facebook and Twitter were overwhelmingly dominating online personal interaction, and RF Cafe Forums activity dropped off precipitously. Regardless, there are still lots of great posts in the archive that ware worth looking at. Below are the old forum threads, including responses to the original posts. I mean that the power is 16 dbm, bandwidth is 60 MHz, can I reach 100m?

the RX sensitivity is -82 dbm

I am sorry for the language confusion. I also wish I could write in Mandarin.

The answer to your question is yes, the range is OK even assuming no antenna gain at each end.

The flat fade margin will be about 18dB, but over a 60MHz bandwidth you should expect to see dispersion fading if the reflection point on the ground (or any other object along the path) is visible from both ends.
