Paul Harvey fan - RF Cafe Forums

RF Cafe Forums closed its virtual doors in late 2012 mainly due to other social media platforms dominating public commenting venues. RF Cafe Forums began sometime around August of 2003 and was quite well-attended for many years. By 2012, Facebook and Twitter were overwhelmingly dominating online personal interaction, and RF Cafe Forums activity dropped off precipitously. Regardless, there are still lots of great posts in the archive that ware worth looking at. Below are the old forum threads, including responses to the original posts. I used to listen to Paul Harvey every day too on AM radio. I didn't hear him since the middle of the 1990s after he left for a while because of throat surgery. I used to fly model airplanes and didn't know that he did too until I read your little article. Nice job of writing the one about Samuel Morse in the style of Paul Harvey. I could just hear Paul's voice in my head as I read it. Doesn't his son do some of that stuff like his father used to do? I think I heard him a couple times - sounds a little like Paul but it's just not the same. Anyway I figured I'd let you know here on the blog since it doesn't seem to be getting much use these days. Any guess why not?

Greetings Amplifier:

I'm not sure why forum participation has dropped off so much, but my guess is that it has a lot to do with the social networking sites like FaceBook. Still, other sites seem to get a fair amount of dialog in their comments area, so who knows? Maybe once I've said something, there's nothing else left to be said about it. :-D
